Appalachian Journal

The Appalachian Journal, founded in 1972, is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed quarterly dealing with the region of the Appalachian mountains. It was re-designed in 2010, with a new look for the covers, improved page layout, and updated typography, with the comfort of an older readership a consideration. Details below.

”Ed did a great job on the redesign of Appalachian Journal! He listens well and delighted me by showing me samples of what I tried to describe but had no idea how to create. Working with Ed was a wonderful experience.”

Sandy Ballard, Editor, Appalachian Journal
